MSc in Pharmacology
Applications are invited for a one-year taught MSc course in Pharmacology commencing October 2010

The intensive programme will cover pharmacology from gene to organism, combining fundamental pharmacological principles with essential practical training including that for a Home Office personal licence.

Leading pharmaceutical companies support the course and will provide additional specialist lectures and tutorials.

Students will receive training in research methods and undertake an individual investigative practical project of their choice within one of the research laboratories of this 5* rated department.

This course is of value to those within or wishing to embark upon a career in the pharmaceutical industry as well as in academic research. The department has a D.Phil programme and graduates of the MSc course will be eligible to apply.

Entry requirements are a minimum of an upper second class undergraduate degree in a scientific subject, primarily a biological or chemical science but applications from high calibre candidates with mathematical and physical science backgrounds would be considered.
