Blaschko Visiting Research Fellowship

 Department of Pharmacology &

MRC Anatomical Neuropharmacology Unit

Postdoctoral Fellowship

Applications are invited for the European Blaschko Visiting Research Fellowship.  The successful applicant can join any one of the research groups in the Department of Pharmacology (http://www.pharm.ox.ac.uk/) or the associated MRC Anatomical Neuropharmacology Unit (http://mrcanu.pharm.ox.ac.uk/) depending on their interests.  Candidates in their final year of doctoral studies are eligible provided they submit their doctoral thesis before taking up the Fellowship.  The Fellowship is for two years from 1 October 2009 and is attached to Linacre College where the visiting Fellow may reside and have full rights and access to facilities.  Those unfamiliar with the research of the Department and MRC Unit should look up the scientific areas on the websites and are welcome to liaise with any of the academic group leaders.  Applications can only be considered from citizens of European countries.

The Fellowship will provide an Honorarium of £20000 (tax free) in year one, with a salaried postdoctoral position in year two.  In addition, University and College fees will be covered by this award.  Travel to conferences and laboratory expenses will also be supported by an award of up to £2000 per annum.

Applications for this year are now closed.  The Fellowship will be advertised again in 2011.

The University is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
