Research Projects

A broad range of possible research projects are identified for students, each providing an opportunity for medicinal chemistry skills to be applied in designing and producing drugs to inhibit specific cancer-associated targets. Each is selected because it provides an interesting chemical challenge and an attractive, testable, biological hypothesis. All projects offered will be supervised by a specialist medicinal chemist and a cancer biologist focused on key aspects of cancer biology. These projects are conceived with the aim of identifying whole new families of anticancer drugs, potentially making an important contribution to our fight against this disease.
