Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Chemical Biology and Antimicrobial Resistance

Biography

Having completed my MChem in Chemistry from the University of Leicester (2013-2017), I moved to the University of Oxford to study for a DPhil in chemical biology as part of the Oxford-GSK-Crick Chemical Biology CDT (2017-2022). Here, I was part of Professor Stuart Conway's team in the Chemistry Research Laboratories, where I worked to develop a chemical biology methodology termed 'Mutate & Conjugate' for the rapid development of selective chemical probes for target validation studies. Upon completion of my DPhil, I continued as a Postdoctoral researcher where I pursued the development of 'Mutate & Conjugate' in the selective protein degrader space.  

Research

I joined Dr Tom Lanyon-Hogg's group in 2022, and my research aims to develop methods for quantifying and understanding chemical probe and drug accumulation in E.coli.
