LinkedIn Profile

Dragos is currently reading for a DPhil in Interdisciplinary Bioscience at New College and is undertaking his research in the Department of Pharmacology, in Dr. Sridhar Vasudevan's team.

His academic interests lie in drug discovery and circadian rhythm's biology. As up to one third of the mammalian genes are regulated by the circadian clock, a molecule that could restore altered circadian gene expression could be of utmost importance in tackling a broad range of disorders, from neuropsychiatric conditions to diabetes.

Particularly, he is interested in understanding the mechanisms of action of a class of epigenetic drugs that is believed to modulate circadian rhythms.
