My primary duties are to manage core support services, communal science and domestic facilities and internal maintenance of the building.

I advise how the Department can comply with relevant H&S legislation and University policy.

I lead a team of eleven support staff in the disciplines of Reception, Security, Common Room catering, Mechanical and Electronics Workshops, Building maintenance, Goods Inwards, Teaching Classroom and communal scientific equipment support.   

The team carry out a wide range of routine tasks, in addition to providing reactive support after events such as equipment failure, floods or out of hour’s emergencies. 

I manage refurbishments of laboratories and offices, utilising University labour resources whenever possible.
