Harriet Haysom
Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Chemical Biology and Antimicrobial Resistance
Biography
Harriet is a postdoctoral research assistant in the Lanyon-Hogg group using chemical biology and medicinal chemistry approaches to combat antimicrobial resistance. She completed a DPhil at the University of Oxford supervised by Stuart Conway (Department of Chemistry) and Katja Simon (Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology) developing bifunctional molecules to induce degradation of inflammatory targets. Harriet completed her MSci and BA in Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge, specialising in chemistry. Her final year masters project focussed on fragment-based drug discovery in Professor Chris Abell’s group.
