My current research explores how Hypoxia Inducible Factors (HIF) interact with circadian rhythms and affect disease pathophysiology. Both hypoxia and circadian rhythms are implicated in a variety of health conditions. HIF and circadian rhythms have previously been linked in a bidirectional manner, yet the mechanisms are still largely unknown. My research utilizes in vitroin vivo, and ex vivo techniques to modulate HIF in order to elucidate the underlying mechanisms as to its affect on circadian rhythms.

Prior to Oxford, I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC. I also completed a Master of Public Health, specializing in Molecular Epidemiology from Columbia University in NYC, NY. I also spent a year after my masters as a Postgraduate Associate at Yale University in the Benvensite Lab, where my research primarily focused on the glymphatic system.
