A still from the animation about Lysosomal Storage Diseases shows families at a conference to find out more about the disease that is affecting their family

The first of three web-based short animations have been launched about Lysosomal Storage Diseases, designed for lay audiences and aimed at newly diagnosed families. The aim is to connect patients and their families with support organisations.

The video was made in partnership between the Platt lab, Department of Pharmacology, University of Oxford and lysosomal disease patient associations. It was funded by an Enriching Engagement Grant from the Wellcome Trust. The project team will be monitoring viewers’ engagement with the videos and collecting anonymised metrics and survey data.

The animation is available in fourteen different languages – you can view the English version here (e-mail rizwana.rashid@pharm.ox.ac.uk for links to the presentation in other languages).
